My Policies

I request that you please give 48 hours notice when canceling or rescheduling.

My policies allow me appropriate time to fill vacated spots with another client on my waitlist. Those of you on my waitlist need and deserve reasonable notice of my openings. I am grateful for your understanding and for your being respectful of my and each other’s time.

BOOKING DEPOSIT

I require a 50% deposit to book an appointment for services totaling $30 or more. This deposit goes toward your appointment cost.

FEES

  • You will be charged a cancellation fee (50% value of services booked) in the event of a no show, 15+ minute late arrival, or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice.

  • New appointments cannot be scheduled until all outstanding cancellation fees are paid. If you paid a deposit, that deposit will be applied to your cancellation fee automatically.

  • PACKAGE/MEMBERSHIP APPOINTMENTS: Two instances of no shows, 15+ minute late arrivals, or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will result in the deduction of one visit from your package or membership accumulations. Each no show after that will also result in the deduction of one visit.

CANCELLATIONS

If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice, you will be automatically refunded your deposit. However, please know that habitual cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in you being barred from scheduling future appointments.

RESCHEDULING

If you reschedule, your deposit is still fully valid and will still go toward the cost of your upcoming appointment. However, please know that repeated rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice may result in you being barred from scheduling future appointments.

LATE ARRIVAL

If you are 15 or more minutes late for your appointment, you will be considered a no show, charged as such, and will need to schedule a new appointment with a new deposit. This ensures everyone scheduled after you can depend on me to begin their appointment on time as planned.

APPOINTMENT REMINDERS

You will receive reminders about upcoming appointments one week before (via email), 50 hours before (via text, please click the confirmation link), and 24 hours before your scheduled visit. If you do not click the confirmation link, you may receive a personal text from me before your appointment to make sure you are still planning to attend.

CHILDREN & GUESTS

While Gloss Salon does welcome children and any guests you need for your appointment, please keep in mind that my treatment room is not built to accommodate more than 2 people at a time. It is not child-proof, and you will be unable to closely supervise children during your appointment. Please consider leaving guests at home, so you can focus on enjoying your self-care time.

PACKAGE & GIFT CARD EXPIRATION

The monetary value of your package or gift certificate never expires. One year from purchase, however, the ability to redeem it for the intended service(s) does expire. Any remaining monetary value (original purchase price minus full price of any redeemed services minus full retail price of all included products) will be refunded to a gift certificate for your use on any products or services at Skin Care by Kayla. This gift certificate will not expire.

REFUNDS

Skin Care by Kayla does not offer refunds or returns. If you have any concerns, please contact Kayla directly.
